Safe & Compliant Waste Transport in WA
At PEP Transport, we provide safe, compliant, and efficient logistics solutions tailored to the needs of WA businesses. Our Controlled Waste Service (CWS) is a specialised waste transport solution designed for the secure handling of packaged controlled waste, fully compliant with Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) standards. Backed by extensive industry experience and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, we ensure the safe and efficient transport of controlled waste from collection to its designated facility.
Providing Secure & Compliant Waste Transport Solutions
The demand for responsible waste transport is growing, and businesses need a trusted partner. At PEP Transport, we ensure compliance with government and environmental regulations while prioritising the safe handling and transport of controlled waste.
Our CWS covers packaged controlled waste, which includes materials transported in Drums, Skip Bins, Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), Tyres, and Contaminated Soil.
To guarantee compliance, all loads equal to or exceeding 200 kg or litres are accompanied by a Controlled Waste Tracking Form (CWTF) from collection to disposal at an approved facility. We also use the Controlled Waste Tracking System (CWTS) to monitor waste movement in Western Australia.
Professionally Trained and Certified Team
Our Controlled Waste Service is managed by licensed experts in controlled waste, and when necessary, we also engage licensed specialists in dangerous goods to ensure full regulatory compliance. Our highly trained drivers conduct thorough waste inspections, prevent leaks or spills, and securely fasten all waste for safe and compliant transport, providing a reliable and responsible waste transport solution.
We adhere to a Spill Management Plan (SMP), outlining procedures in case of spills. Every vehicle carries a copy of the SMP and spill response equipment, ensuring preparedness in transport emergencies.
Vehicle Compliance and Secure Transport
PEP Transport strictly adheres to all regulatory requirements for the secure transport of packaged controlled waste. Our vehicles are fully compliant with government guidelines to ensure the safe and responsible transportation of waste materials:
- Regulatory Identification: Our vehicles are marked with “Controlled Waste,” the carrier’s name, and licence number on both sides and the rear in compliance with the required 50mm text size standard.
- Secure Containment: Our vehicles are equipped with rigid sides or gates to securely contain waste and prevent any spillage or unauthorised access.
- Height Restrictions: We maintain stability and safety, waste does not protrude more than 30% above the sides or gates of our vehicle.
- Driver Safety Measures: All controlled waste is transported in a separate compartment from the driver’s cabin, minimising exposure and ensuring a secure environment.
Key Features of the Controlled Waste Service
- Regulatory Compliance: PEP Transport operates under a Controlled Waste License (T01421) and follows strict compliance guidelines. All controlled waste loads over 200 kg or litres are tracked via the Controlled Waste Tracking System (CWTS), ensuring full transparency and accountability.
- Specialised Vehicles: Our fleet meets Western Australia’s controlled waste transport regulations, featuring secured compartments, rigid sides, tracking systems, and regulatory signage for safe and compliant waste transport.
- Comprehensive Waste Handling: We manage packaged controlled waste, including drums, skip bins, IBCs, tyres, and contaminated soil. Waste is clearly labeled except for specific exemptions, such as waste tyres (T140) and contaminated soil (N120).
- Cost-Effective & Risk-Free Compliance: Our adherence to DWER regulations helps businesses avoid non-compliance fines and legal issues while ensuring environmentally responsible waste disposal.
